BRIEF:
Create a range of communications to publicise the VISA World Cup promotion to NatWest and Royal Bank of Scotland customers.
EXECUTION:
This project was a great opportunity to squeeze (otherwise ridiculous) football terminology into the bank's social posts and emails. I created a variety of content - some aimed squarely at die-hard fans, others for more casual observers; but all unmistakably centred around football, and all publicising the prize draw.
NATWEST
The rules of the promotion were simple: each time customers used their VISA cards, they'd be entered into a World Cup prize draw. A fun gig for a copywriting football fan.
ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND
Since the Scottish national team wasn't appearing at the 2018 World Cup finals, it was vital to create football-based content for the Royal Bank that still spoke to fans and customers in Scotland.
